1. Scope

These terms govern the use of the local desktop tool “Tennis Coaching Publisher” (the “Tool”). It is a personal tool for uploading and managing tennis practice videos and related metadata on the YouTube channel managed by its operator. It is not sold or distributed as a service for the general public.

2. Explicit operations and publication

  • Running without arguments is a dry run: it performs no authorisation, network communication, uploading or publication.
  • Normal uploads are private first. Only after processing, thumbnails and required captions are verified, and the operator explicitly specifies --publish-public, are they made public.
  • An audit test processes one identifiable test video while keeping it private, only when --stage-private is explicitly specified.
  • The publication gate api_audit_approved must not be enabled until official confirmation of the YouTube API project’s public-upload audit is obtained.

3. Uploader responsibilities

Before uploading, the operator verifies the following.

  • Necessary rights or permissions for all video, audio, images, captions, names and other materials
  • Necessary consent from participants who appear, for the intended publication scope
  • Compliance with YouTube’s Community Guidelines, copyright, privacy, made-for-kids requirements and applicable laws
  • The madeForKids, visibility, title, description and captions match the actual content
  • Review the final video and manifest and specifically authorise the upload before running automated posting

Do not upload material where rights or consent are unclear.

4. Prohibited activities

The Tool must not be used for the following purposes.

  • Unauthorised access, spam, duplicate uploads or artificial manipulation of views, ratings or comments
  • Circumventing YouTube limits, reviews, quotas or safety mechanisms
  • Uploading content that infringes copyright, image rights, privacy or other third-party rights
  • Uploading illegal, harmful or deceptive content, or content that improperly targets children
  • Sharing OAuth credentials, client JSON, Google passwords or two-step verification codes
  • Selling, sublicensing or retaining YouTube API Services data longer than permitted by the terms

5. Relationship with Google and YouTube

The Tool is not an official product provided, guaranteed or endorsed by Google or YouTube. “YouTube” is a trademark of Google LLC. The Tool’s API use is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, YouTube API Services Terms of Service, YouTube API Services Developer Policies and Google Privacy Policy.

6. Data and disconnection

Data is handled under the Privacy policy. OAuth access can be revoked and local data deleted at any time by following How to delete user data. Deleting data locally through the Tool does not delete videos on YouTube.

7. Availability and disclaimer

The Tool is provided as is. Uploading or publication may be delayed or fail due to Google/YouTube API changes, reviews, quotas, network issues, video processing or caption processing. If a safety gate stops the process, do not bypass it without investigating the cause.

8. Discontinuation and changes

The operator may stop using the Tool and revoke OAuth access at any time. If these terms change, the updated date is revised, and significant changes are reviewed before use resumes.
